Ok in the bible it says that before u deal with the speck in ur brother's eye deal with the log in ur eye... it also says with faith like a mustard seed u can move a mountain... so what if our problems r the mountains and we need to move them? But we first help someone by moving their's? But we must first deal with our log, and if we help someone we too have to do as we say... we cannot be hipocrits!
You are exactly right. It is wrong to point out flaws in others and totally disregard our own problems. That being said, we do not have to be perfect in order to have a standard.
ReplyDeleteFor instance, everyone had lied at one point or another. Just because they have lied, does it mean we shouldn't tell others to be honest? Of course not. One is not a hypocrite just because they messed up once. A person is a hypocrite when they hold people up to a standard they don't try to meet themselves.
